Frances (Fran) Margaret Airey

Frances (Fran) Airey was born on May 19, 1924 at Vernon, B. C., the first child of Francis (Frank) Joseph Airey and Margaret (Daisy) Barrie Dowie. At about age 3 her family moved into a house her father built at East Boulevard near 66 Avenue, in the Marpole area, Vancouver, B. C. She attended Saint Anthony's College, a private school to grade 6. She went to Point Grey Junior High for grades 7 - 9. The family moved to 1132 Bridgeport Road, Richmond, B.C. where Fran attended grades 10 - 12 in Richmond High School.

Fran studied Bacteriology and Chemistry at the University of British Columbia and graduated in 1945. Fran met Edward (Ted) Stanley Gregory while hiking with the UBC Outdoor Club. She worked at UBC doing research during the summer of 1945. She worked for a summer at an ice cream factory in Seattle. She visited her grandmother there who was in bed with a heart condition. Fran worked at a public health laboratory in downtown Vancouver from 1945 to 1949. She was active in the Players Club, Ski Club, and the Outdoor Club where she met her husband.

She married Edward Stanley Gregory at the Saint Augustine Church in Vancouver on July 26, 1947.

Ted and Fran have four children:

Kenneth Bruce Gregory

Donald Stanley Gregory

Fran played with the Powell River Bridge Club for over 40 years, as well as 2 north Shore Bridge Clubs.

The family lived in Powell River for 18 years where she became an accomplished amateur artist and member of the Powell River Fine Arts Club. She was a life member of Eastern Star, Engineers Wives Association, as well as past President of the Weavers Square Dance Club.

Ted and Fran celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on August 20, 1997 at the Brock House Conservatory Restaurant, Vancouver, B.C.

Fran had a minor stroke about March 18, 2005 which affected her short term memory.

Fran died at 7:00 pm November 28, 2008 at age 84 years 6 months at the Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver. A memorial service was held at Mount Seymour United Church on December 12, 2008.

Brian Joseph Gregory

Brian was born at the Saint Paul's Hospital, Vancouver , B.C.

Brian married Miriam Joy Campbell.

Brian and Miriam have four children:

Caleb Gregory married Jan-Lin Shannon Yong.

Caleb and Jan-Lin have one child;

Ross Edward Gregory

Ross was born at the Saint Paul 's Hospital. Ross married Susan Elizabeth Thompkins.

Ross and Sue have two children:

Melissa Ellen Gregory

Ross and Sue were divorced and Ross married Amal Awwad.

Christa married Mark McKegney. They have two daughters:

Ceilidh Jessica McKegney (Ceilidh is pronounced Kaylee)

Saoirse Frances McKegney (Saoirse is pronounced Sear-sha)

Melissa married Blair Gordon Edwards. They have two daughters:

Rowan Liza Edwards

Malekai Theo Gordon Edwards

Melissa and Blair were divorced and Melissa married Rylan Worts.

They had a daughter together:

Kenneth Bruce Gregory

Kenneth was born at the Saint Paul 's Hospital, Vancouver , British Columbia 4 minutes before his twin brother Donald. Ken Gregory married Sara Catherine Hindle.

Ken and Sara have two children:

Ellery Gregory Hindle

Donald Stanley Gregory

Donald was born at the Saint Paul 's Hospital 4 minutes after his twin brother Kenneth.

Don Gregory married Christine Helen Hladyshevsky.

They have two children:
